Shape Introduction — Positional Walk-Through

No defenders. Coach places the team in their rough 7v7 shape and walks them through where each position stands when the team has the ball. Move the ball by hand first, then feet. Go slowly — this is a picture, not a race.

• When the ball is on the left, what does the right side do? Show them — they shift across
• Strikers stay high and give the defenders an outlet
• Centre mids are the link — between defence and attack, always available

• Coach passes the ball into different areas; team shifts shape and freezes on a whistle — check positions
• Add light jogging pace; the picture should move but stay connected
