Set-up
Three lanes of 6 players each working scripted triangle combinations: A to B, B third-man to C making a run, C finishes or recycles. Emphasis on weight of pass and timing of the third-man's run, not speed of execution. Rotate positions every 5 minutes.
Coaching points
- Pass before the run, not with it — if you wait to see the run you're already late
- Receiving player's first touch should be forward or sideways — never back into pressure
- Park: use this to work your switch-of-play range; hit the far side of the lane, not short
Progressions
- Add a passive defender in each lane to force the third-man run to change angle
- Make it one-touch in the final 5 minutes of each rotation
